Kurt Yaeger of Sons of Anarchy has teamed up with
Theo Rossi and his Staten Strong Foundation to help aid the victims still
suffering from Hurricane Sandy. The residents of Staten Island are still in
very bad shape, their lives are completely on hold and they still need help.
Kurt and friends are having a contest! (see widget below). Sign up, and perform easy tasks to be entered for a chance to win Kurt's Shark Freestyle Brand watch his character Greg the Peg wore on Sons of Anarchy. The contest drawing's on 12/15/12, it's not too late!
In order to help raise awareness, we've teamed up with a great group to help the victims in Staten Island. Panther Vision has graciously combined efforts with Kurt by donating $5 to the Staten Strong Foundation for each purchase of an eligible product (list found below)
The more you participate by performing the various tasks in the contest, the more entries you have in the drawing for the watch! Each point earned is a +1 entry for you into the contest. Your participation helps direct people here to help participate. Participating helps raise funds/gear for Staten Island Hurricane Sandy victims.
Here's how you do it:
Go to www.panthervision.com & pick one of the eligible products (all listed below)
(Purchasers must use the coupon code: STATEN (step 3 at checkout) to trigger the donation!)
- POWERCAP LED Lighted Hat
- LIGHTSPECS Original Reading Glasses
- LIGHTSPECS LP Reading Glasses
- LIGHTSPECS Rechargeable Reading Glasses
- LIGHTSPECS Safety Glasses
This offer cannot be combined with any other current discount running on the Panther Vision website. Valid for online purchases at PantherVision.com only. Expires on: 12/15/12
Finished shopping? You can earn +10 points each eligible item purchased, once per day. Order number verification required to receive points.
(Each order number with multiple eligible purchases will give +10 points each. This will be manually placed onto your contest account, and an e-mail will be sent for confirmation!)
In addition, Panther Vision has also offered to donate up to one hundred of their LED lighted hats to help those still left without power. To be a part of getting the hats to Theo Rossi’s (Juice from Sons of Anarchy) “Staten Strong” Hurricane Sandy relief project, here's how you can contribute, without making a purchase.
For every 100 Facebook Likes and/or Twitter followers Panther Vision receives, they will donate 1 hat to Staten Strong, up to 100 hats (10,000 likes/followers). With the help of our friends at Shark Freestyle Brand Watches, Panther Vision, ESPN Magazine, Boot Campaign and Sons of Anarchy we can reach the success needed in helping the hurricane victims on Staten Island get back on their feet again.
In preparation for my ESPN Magazine article in the November 26th’s issue, I wanted to thank everyone for their support by helping our friends over at Staten Strong. The article is available online for ESPN subscription holders and on the shelves in stores. If you can't wait, (you shouldn't) click here to purchase a subscription and start the free 30-day trial.
I’m so pumped about this article! If we blow through the 16,000 follower ceiling on Twitter fast enough, I'll throw in an extra prize that's just as cool! I will also be choosing 10 runner up winners to receive a signed and personalized autograph photo! Again, thank you all very much. I hope you enjoy the contest, the prize and look forward to seeing who the winners will be!!!
Your friend,
Kurt Yaeger
PS: No information used in the contest will be available to anyone at anytime. It's only to keep track of the points. Hell, I don't even know how to log into this widget so you can blame any problems on @TheMatConnect, he takes full responsibility. (My legal disclaimer!)

ReplyDeleteDoing it now! Including ordering a fabulous hat as a Christmas gift for someone :) Awesome that the contest ends just in time for my birthday too! And you know I'll be tweeting everyday from now til then!!!!!
ReplyDeleteDone done and done
ReplyDeletewoo hoo!! Good stuff!
DeleteGood job guys keep up the good work! Panther Vision is a great company as well as the rest of course :)
ReplyDeleteAnd happy early birthday LadyDie! Mine just passed on the 2nd a few weeks ago. The Panther Vision hats are awesome I think. I have 2 myself and they helped me get around a lot of places. Glad they are helping people get through Hurricane Sandy!
I am monitoring all of the input as well and it seems that we have a few cheaters I'm going to have to ban...not saying anyone here right now :) It's a shame too... oh well you'll have it everywhere!
Anyone who's clicking on the +10 points is stating that you had purchased a product. Please read the actual contents of it before you click it! Guessing I'll have to change the name of the button...sigh..
ReplyDeleteI will be contacting everyone who has not put in the order number to verify the purchase. If you cannot provide me with the order number, you will be having the 10 points removed.
Max, I think I provided the order number correctly, but my points were gone this morning :( I reentered the order number again...let me know if there is some issue. Just now got confirmation that my order had been shipped, too. ~Krista (aka LadyDie) And thanks for the early bday wishes :)
DeleteName's Mat, and I think I answered this to you on Twitter lol

DeleteAuto Correct...more like Auto Wrong! :)
DeleteHey, Max! Did my purchase count? It did yesterday? Looks like it might not have.
ReplyDeleteMy name's Mat not Max lol. Yes it counts, but your running total differs each day because you can do it once per day. We have a running total ourselves, yours only shows your daily amount allowed. Hope that makes sense.
ReplyDeleteSo every day I come here to tweet about this great cause and great giveaway and click "I tweeted" and get my extra entries, but then the next day in sitting back at the original entry numbers from before...what the hell?
ReplyDeleteAs stated in above comments, it resets each day because they're reusable daily entries to gain points that are tallied up in the database as a running total. Your numbers reset so that you are able to get to the maximum points allowed in a day which is 41, otherwise the system would read it as you can't do anything. Hope that sheds more light on the reasoning. Appreciate your participation Chris!
DeleteChristopher, as Mat clarified it to me, although it looks like you have lost your points, it resets like Mat ha explained. However, there is a running total of everyone's points that we (the general public) cannot see. So you have not lot points (or entries), they are just being kept somewhere secure to give everyone the opportunity to participate daily.
